I would argue we need to group BW with Writing: same category: Writing Instruction. I think to put BW in its own category adds another administrative layer and further devalues or marginalizes it. Creating a rhetoric where BW is on the same continuum as Composition or Writing would give it power. We are all developing writers: Basic Writing, Composition Writing, Academic Writing. We are all developing, not Developmental. Would that rhetoric be useful?
